About Uplift
Uplift helps shoppers judge products by their own values (Buy Canadian, Regina businesses, fair trade, animal welfare, low-waste packaging and environmental impact) without needing to be supply-chain experts.
How the score works
- Each value is rated good, caution, unknown or not applicable, and the reason is always shown.
- Good counts 100 and caution 30. Unknown and not applicable are left out, never guessed.
- Your number 1 value counts most (weights 1.0, 0.8, 0.6 and so on).
Data
Product information comes from Open Food Facts, a free database built by volunteers. It can be incomplete or out of date. Spot a mistake? Fix it on Open Food Facts and everyone benefits.
